Composition programs in the classroom!

In these award-winning programs, students express their unique voices
and views of the world as they create and perform original operas.

Book to Bravo!
Students engage with curriculum in new ways as they bring literature to life
through music and theater. Adaptation of literary work boosts interpretative
and structural skills along with increasing empathy and metaphorical thinking.

Voices for Social Justice
Focusing on matters of social or political concern, students create original
pieces, emphasizing how art can shape and encourage social change through
the power of song and story writing in a guided safe classroom space.

Information for Teachers: Both 12-week programs consist of 10 weekly 90-minute classes, a performance, and a 45-minute reflection session. Two teaching artists
partner with a classroom teacher, both in class and to complete
assignments between visits. Access to performance space and a piano
in good working order are necessary.Offered fall 2026 and spring 2027.

Cost: $1,800 for each participating classroom. Scholarships are available for qualifying schools. Offered in English/Spanish
